A Lyric Theatre Mainstage Production
Fully staged, in English, with orchestra

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Book by Hugh Wheeler

Eight people, unlucky in love, gather for a weekend at a country house, resulting in much more favorable partnerships.

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s Broadway smash hit won six Tony awards in 1973, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.  It was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s 1955 film Smiles of a Summer Night, and features the hit song “Send in the clowns”.

A Little Night Music contains mature subject matter, which may not be suitable for children.
