Lyric Theatre relies on you, our loyal patrons, to help continue our mission of bringing quality live theater to the South Bay. With ticket income only covering half of our total expenses, we must raise the rest from grants and individual donations. A tax deductable donation of $25 or more per year will entitle you to membership in the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of San Jose, the parent organization of Lyric Theatre. Besides helping us to continue our mission, members receive the following benefits:
The House of Peers (annual contributions of $25 or more)
- One full year's membership in the Gilbert and Sullivan Society with full voting privileges, and a listing once a year in our newsletter.
- A subscription to the Lyric Theatre Newsletter, The Patter Post.
- Invitations to member previews of Lyric Theatre productions and special membership events when held.
- Advance notice of the season's offerings before mailing to the general public, with options for preferred seating and ticket exchanges.
The Earl of Mountararat's Constituency (annual contributions of $50 or more receive the above plus)
- A listing in each show program as a member/contributor.
- A Lyric Theatre button, refrigerator magnet, or similar item.
The Duchess of Plaza-Toro's Suite (annual contributions of $100 or more receive all the above plus)
- A Lyric Theatre tote bag, mug, wine glass, or similar item
All member rewards may be claimed at the Membership information table at any Lyric Theatre production.
Contributors at higher levels receive all of the above plus an exalted program listing:
- Princess Ida's Faculty (annual contributions of $300 or more)
- King Paramount's Council (annual contributions of $500 or more)
- The Mikado's Court (annual contributions of $1000 or more)
