Gilbert & Sullivan's fanciful 1877 operetta The Sorcerer is the tale of a young couple who want everyone to be happily mated, but who inadvertently set off ridiculous pairings of townspeople through the misuse of John Wellington Wells' magic tea potion. What magic will be needed to restore order? See this beloved operetta with a new twist: "Bollywood meets Victoriana," with the setting transported to India and featuring the styles of Bollywood masala films. You won't want to miss this very special 2011 Lyric Theatre production.
