Helen of Troy gets the burlesque treatment in Offenbach's La Belle Hélène, which tells the story of Helen's abduction by Paris that eventually leads to the Trojan War. In this comic retelling, Helen is more of a willing participant than the innocent victim of the God's whims. A 2003 Lyric Theatre production.
For only $10 per month, you can watch the selected offering as many times as you like during the month, at home or anywhere your mobile device has connectivity. You will also have access to a wealth of written material about the shows.
