This "neglected comic opera" by Victor Herbert is best known for the aria "Art Is Calling for Me", which has become a frequently programmed recital piece recorded over the years by many famous sopranos, such as Kiri Te Kanawa, Beverly Sills, and Kristin Chenowith. A 2018 Lyric Theatre production.
